Investigating the impact of building façade configurations on indoor thermal and daylight environment in Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) in Pakistan

The architectural landscape of Pakistan reflects a mix of styles, with a transition from traditional to more contemporary forms, particularly in HEIs. Despite the significant growth and aesthetic appeal of higher educational buildings, their suitability in terms of environmental comfort and resilience to the region’s changing climate remains largely unexplored. Madeeha’s work will focus on investigating how different façade design configurations influence the indoor thermal and daylight environment in HEIs. This will help develop design guidelines and recommendations for educational buildings in hot climatic zones, aimed at improving indoor comfort and climate resilience.
