Improving building performance through better feedback: understanding the effectiveness of Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) studies
Jaime is a 3rd year PhD researcher examining why post-occupancy evaluation (POE) remains underutilised despite its potential to improve building performance. Applying systems thinking methods, she investigates how commercial incentives, stakeholder priorities, industry practices, and policy frameworks shape the uptake of building performance evaluation across the construction and building value chain. Her research identifies the barriers, incentives, and leverage points that influence how POE is adopted and used, generating insights to support more effective decision-making across industry and policy.
